Small Grant Scheme

Small Grant Scheme   Over the last five years DVCP has been running a small grants scheme for community groups in the areas of Plas Madoc, Cefn Mawr, Rhosymedre, Newbridge and Acrefair.   In this time we have processed 45 successful application s and have given out £25,592.83 in funding to local community/voluntary groups.  This has helped support a range of projects ranging from new equipment for local playgroups to supporting gardening projects for residents in sheltered housing and from new sports equipment for youth football teams to specialist knitting equipment for a local knitting club.   The small grants scheme has now come to an end.  However, we hope that the equipment bought in previous times will help support groups in the future.   The last 3 applications funded:- Activity Play Cube for Kiddies World, Acrefair; Nintendo Wii for Acrefair Afterschool Club; Start-up grant for upper Cefn Residents Association.
